Review + Tour + Trailer: ASH (Jagged Edge #5) by A.L. Long @allong1963

It’s funny how your past choices always seem to follow you. But when it becomes a mistake that you will soon regret, there is only one thing you can do ‘Fix it.’ Juliette Daniels wanted to do just that, but every time she tried to do the right thing, she ended up getting sucked in deeper and deeper. Her destiny was not her own and one man controlled it. Her Master

Ash Jacobs was a simple man, hard working with good morals, but the minute he met his sexy new neighbor that all changed. His obsession to find out who she was might have been the one thing to push her away, but there was no way he was going to give up until he found out the truth. Not even Sebastian Collins could stop the desire he had for her.

I know a lot of people don't like to pick books up in the middle or at the end of a series but you really should, you don't know what you're missing.  ASH is a wonderful, suspense filled erotic read.  The plot moves quickly, it keeps you on your toes and doesn't leave you unfulfilled.  One thing I do have to mention about ASH is that there are definitely scenes in this story that won't be for the faint of heart.  Though A.L. Long does not go into too much detail about the world that Jules is involved with, it doesn't make some of the scenes and things that happen to her any easier to read.

Heat ... there was definitely a lot of it.  One of the reasons I gave it a four instead of a five though was came down to some unbelievable elements in this story.  Probably just personal nit picking things really but some of the situations Jules finds herself in, I wouldn't be dying to have sex right after or even want to be touched.  So those elements were very hard for me to believe and handle on her behalf.  That being said, the heat was definitely there between Ash and Jules.  This is definitely an insta-love story so if that's not your thing, ASH won't be for you.

All in all, a very enjoyable read and I recommend giving it a shot even if you are not familiar with the rest of the men of the Jagged Edge Security team.

Some would call me a little naughty but I see myself as a writer of spicy thoughts. Being an erotic romance writer is something that I never imagined I would be doing. There is nothing more rewarding than to put your thoughts down and sharing them. I began writing three years ago and have enjoyed every minute of it. When I first began writing, I really wasn’t sure what I was going to write. It didn’t take me long to realize that romance would be my niche. I believe that every life deserves a little bit of romance, a little spice doesn’t hurt either. When I am not writing, I enjoy the company of good friends and relaxing with a delicious glass of red wine.
