My life revolved around two things. Football and my cock. And not necessarily in that order.

Being the head football coach for a top university in Texas had its ups and its downs.

The ups? Endless women to f*ck.

The downs? The politics that came with the job.

From the moment Aubrey Cain walked into my office, she turned my world upside down. Being forced to have her follow me around for a month was going to be a pain in the ass. Especially since I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her.

The best I’d hoped to come out of this was a few nights with her in my bed. I never imagined she’d be the game changer.

Brett Owens was my assignment.

Head football coach for a top college, bad boy reputation, short temper, and handsome good looks should have scared me off. But I was tougher than that.

From the first words out of his obnoxious, dirty-talking mouth, I knew it was going to be a long month. It wasn’t five minutes after meeting him, he hit on me. If only I had known his blue eyes would haunt my dreams and awaken a desire inside of me I never knew existed.

This was business. There was no way I would be tempted by him no matter how good looking he was or how many things he whispered in my ear.

He was only supposed to be my assignment. Not the man who threatened to destroy both my heart and my career. I would follow along with his playbook for now. But who would end up winning was anyone’s guess.

The Playbook is a stand-alone novel.

This book is coming out just at the perfect time.  Who all loves to watch the football games and enjoy not only the beefy players, but even the sexy coaches.

Well, we are given the ultimate dream by Kelly with Brett.  He has his reasons for being the way that he is, a no holds bared, hot and heavy lover, but doesn't want the strings that come with a relationship.

What he doesn't expect is to find his weakness in a smart, sassy, strong willed woman who knows exactly what she wants and what it is going to take for her to achieve that goal.  The thing is sometimes what and who we think a person is, isn't really true at all.

This is a great story that revolves around the push and pull of lust, and possibly something more.  The thing is, if either person lets into the strong temptations then they could stand to lose more than just themselves.  But, can one time be enough?  Can two completely different people find some common ground, or are they just going to become another play in the game book?

This is the basis of this story.  The thing is that for every play that Brett comes up with, he knows that ultimately he is going to have to punt because he is not going to be the reason that Aubrey doesn't achieve her dream job.  But, Aubrey is having second thoughts due to seeing the true Brett.  Once he lets the guards down and allows her to see him as the true individual he is, then she knows that she is basically screwed, because boy is he hard to walk away from.

I enjoyed this story because not only does it contain a strong somewhat dominating male, but it also has an equally strong female who stands up for what she wants.  The degree of drama in this story is mellow and not over bearing which allows it to be an enjoyable read.  Kelly adds just enough conflict to keep us wanting to see our two main characters pull together, but she keeps the light hearted feel to it as well, which keeps you smiling through out the entire story.  I hope you take the time to download and read this great book, especially those football fans.
