Life as she knew it had ended…

When Alexandria York fatefully met the Duke of Avalon in the woods she never imagined she’d be working for him. A rising star of the art scene in London, Alexandria agrees to commission a piece for the infamous noble. His intentions quickly become confusing as chemistry grows between the two.

As she dreams of the man she can’t have, the one she can lures her deeper into his lair. Will the man she once loved be her Knight in shining armor and slay the Dragon? Or will the Dragon consume her before it’s too late?

In this life, his heart was the stone and her love was the sword…

The Duke of Avalon has lived a long and lonely life. He has chased his love through the centuries and every time she has jilted him, but not this time. Tormented by inner demons, Avalon seeks to keep his secret safe while vowing to win Alexandria York. When his former charge, Lancer Rivers comes back into both their lives, he finds he more than one challenger for her hand. Can he protect Alexandria not only from the man after her very life, but also himself?

If you love historical, medieval, King Author, Sir Lancelot type novels, this is the one for you. I could not set this book down. While I read it mostly sitting at work (being a switch board operator has its perks!) I wanted to hurry up and finish this book, or slow down, and not let it end. It was brilliant, and for Kylie C. Stewart's debut novel, I must say it was absolutely brilliant. A wonderful 5 Bars (plus more!) to Ms. Stewart on a classic tale turned modern day!

Alexandria York is a rising artist in London. When her sculptures begin gaining the attention of the Royals, as well as numerous Dukes, she takes the opportunity, and runs with it. While out on a hack on her trusty steed, and her best friend one afternoon, they come across the Duke of Avalon. A mysterious, quiet type fellow that grants them his well wishes for passing on his land, he spurs his own steed away from them with plans for the mysterious brunette who has captured his heart.

The Duke of Avalon (aka The Dragon) has plans for Alexandria York. She just doesn't know it yet. A swoon worthy character with his moody attitudes, mysterious demeanor, and overall just mysterious being that he seems to be, Avalon is a character that will leave the reader guessing until the very end of the novel. When he creates a contract between himself, and Alexandria for a commissioned piece it holds a much deeper meaning than anything anyone could imagine.

There was so much suspense, romance, and overall guessing throughout this novel that I really couldn't set it down. I cannot wait for the second novel to come out, and I sincerely hope that readers will pick-up Set In Stone: Legend #1. This was a great read with something for every reader out there. A definite recommend, and a definite re-read in my books for 2016!
