Sterling and Ruthie have more things in common than they realize, even though from the outside it doesn’t seem like they do.
Sterling is a decorated war hero.
Ruthie is an ex-con.
Their two worlds should’ve never collided, but fate has a way of turning life in the direction least expected. Now Ruthie has to try to come to terms with the fact that she’s in love with a biker who’s also a decorated Navy SEAL. One who leaves for months at a time with little to no advance warning, taking her heart with him each time he goes.
Sterling has a lot of things to overcome in order to have Ruthie, the biggest being her mind.
She doesn’t think she’s good enough.
He thinks she’s perfect.
Now it’s up to him to show her just how right he can be.
Wow, this book was fabulous! I read it in one sitting, like usual with Lani’s books. Truly a page-turner this one was. What I love about Lani’s books is they all have a different story that incorporates past characters. Right To My Wrong is Sterling and Ruthie’s story.

Sterling is a decorated war veteran currently serving in the Navy SEALS. He is on a better path in life than what he had to endure growing up but a relationship isn’t something he sought out. That is until he met Ruthie.

Ruthie had a bad childhood as well but she thought she was headed in the right direction until her husband started abusing her. After the loss of her unborn child, she took her husband’s life thinking it was the only way out. After doing her time in prison, she tried to restart her life. She has two jobs and great friends that back her up but the community she lives in isn’t seeing past her mistakes.

The moment Sterling and Ruthie meet there is an instant attraction. Ruthie never thought she’d be in the arms of another man but Sterling eats away at her walls she has barricaded herself with. They both find themselves deeply in love with another but Sterling leaves so much being a SEAL, can Ruthie handle Sterling being gone at the drop of a hat?

Not only was this an amazing romance but it had me rolling. I loved the chemistry between Ruthie and Sterling. I loved how he always had to protect her. Not only did Ruthie have her own past but Sterling had his own demons to conquer as well. The book wasn’t all fun and games though. I had three instances where I cried…UGLY cried y’all! That was something new for me while reading Lani’s books. Yeah, I’ve shed a few tears here and there but honestly, this book got to me. I wouldn’t have it any other way though. I was fully entertained, turned on and ready for more! Now I sit impatiently for the next of Lani’s creations to be sitting in my hands.

I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 5, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.
