I’m Eden MacLaird, and Fate screwed me good at the age of twenty-one, stole my first love, then my first child. Twenty years later, I still haven't found my happily-ever-after. Sure, from the outside, I have it all, including Declan, my gorgeous, rich-as-sin husband. But things aren't what they seem, and catching Declan in bed with my best friend destroys any dreams I harbor for love, much less sexual fulfillment.

Then in walks Sean Bennett...

Just months away from earning his post-graduate law degree, Sean's smart, driven, and serious, but an unexpected encounter between us in a bar one night changes everything. His best friend, Trinitee, warns against getting too involved, but the heat between us is beyond intense, and neither of us are willing to walk away.

With my marriage in shambles, I'm eager to make a go of it with Sean, despite our sixteen-year age difference. But while I relish my sexual reawakening, I fear giving up the posh life I've grown accustomed to. That life, however, and everything in it, comes crashing down as bodies start piling up around us, and all clues point to me and Sean.

Secrets, betrayal, and revenge threaten to destroy not just my carefully-crafted reputation, but my very life. With our freedom at stake, Sean and I join forces to uncover those plotting against us. But as doubt and evidence mount, I must choose: give in to my suspicions and save myself, or trust our new-found love and save us both.
I was quite impressed with this book. I couldn’t put it down! The twists and turns were fabulous! I loved the fact that I didn’t know what was going to happen next!

Eden had been through so much at a young age. The love of her life passed away and she lost their daughter at birth. Twenty years later, she has a nice looking, wealthy husband and a son. The only thing that is missing in her life is love. Having been with her husband for so long, she’s used to the flow. Declan and herself seem to stay out of each other’s way instead of each other’s lives. When she walks in on Declan and her best friend having sex is when Eden realizes that there is one key ingredient missing in her marriage, love.

Sean walks into her life and awakens who she used to be. He is 16 years younger than Eden is but I didn’t really see a difference between the two intellectually. Sean is just months away from graduating with a law degree. Sean pursues Eden and finally breaks down the walls around her until the unthinkable happens.

This book captivated me. It was full of ups and downs and twists and turns, I really didn’t know what way was up! It didn’t have a boring second in it. I am still amazed at how the story totally kept me in the dark. I am still like, WOW! It totally blew my mind.

I loved the chemistry between Eden and Sean. The sweetheart Sean was totally blew me away. This book was actually quite steamy as well. I have never read any of Nancy’s books before but my goodness I am going to be looking out for any new releases of hers from now on. I am still reeling how my mind was totally entrapped within this book.
