Having made it to the major leagues, AJ "Rage" Romero is determined to shake the stigma his temper has earned him over the years. He's finally managed a shaky hold of that elusive self-control.

Until he meets them . . .

Without warning, his coach and mentor's brilliantly gifted granddaughter Clair and her equally amazing mother Addison Lara blow into AJ's life. The harder he falls for Addison, the closer and more attached he becomes to Clair.

Having fallen so fast and hard, he agrees to respect the understandably protective single mother's wish to forever keep the identity of Clair's absent father unknown to everyone—including AJ.

But when the ugly truth about Clair's dad begins to surface, the fire in AJ's fiercely possessive heart is lit. As more of the troubling reality comes to light, his zero tolerance for secrets and dishonesty put his temper—and his love for Addison—to the ultimate test.

Self-control has never felt so impossible.
This is the first book I have read by Elizabeth Reyes and let me just say it definitely will not be my last. I really enjoyed the story of AJ and Addison.

AJ is a catcher for the San Diego Padres. He is not only known for his good looks or the talent on the baseball field; he is known as “Rage” because he flies off the handle on the field a bit. The crowd loves the excitement but who wouldn’t? Since being in the big leagues, he has gotten some sort of control to his temper thanks to his coach and mentor. That is until coach’s granddaughter Clair and daughter Addison came into his life.

Clair instantly attached herself to AJ and what I loved is that AJ took to her quickly as well. Clair isn’t like your normal seven year old. She is kind of a little genius that has the love of stats and anything baseball.

Addison was instantly drawn to our bad boy as well. What I loved about her was that she put her daughter ahead of her love life. She needed to keep things between her and AJ on the down low. Claire was already attached to AJ and if they broke up the one who would be the most hurt is Claire. However, is Addison hiding more than her relationship with AJ?

What really warmed my heart with this book was AJ. He not only falls in love with Addison but also loves her daughter as if she was his own. I loved how AJ was protective of Addison and Claire. I also loved the chemistry between Addison and AJ.

As always with a love story there comes some sort of drama but this book was pretty awesome and a definitely should be added to your tbr list!!
