Synopsis: After months of hiding their engagement to promote a farcical PR relationship tied to Cameron's new movie, Sarah is struggling to remind herself of the benefits of the plan – if only she can make it that long. Having just about reached their breaking point, Cameron proposes a romantic weekend away to re-connect with one another but their boss has a better idea: a two-week trip away from the prying eyes of Hollywood and the PR team’s aggressive gossip machine.
Once out of the Hollywood spotlight, Cameron reverts back to the loving, attentive man Sarah first fell in love with and idyllic days spent hiking, biking, and surfing lead to sensual nights wrapped in each other’s arms. But when a gossip columnist viciously pegs Sarah as “the other woman,” they’re forced to acknowledge the reality of their situation. Vowing to beat the studio at its own game, Sarah and Cameron openly flaunt their relationship, knowing their actions may mean giving up the careers they both love. With help from some new friends along the way, Cameron and Sarah re-discover what matters most as they work to find their happily ever after.

It is bittersweet that this is the last and final installment of the Her Confessional series. I have enjoyed every single book and every single minute reading this series. Rebecca really knows how to capture her readers, bring them into the story and make you feel one with the characters. The humor is always found and makes you love her even more.

Cameron and Scott were meant for each other. I think Sarah always knew it, but never thought that he would want her. Sarah is plus sized,  but oh so comfortable in her body. This is also the body that Cameron absolutely loves. He wants to be her husband and he doesn't care what the repercussions may be. As we learned throughout the series, Cameron is now in the public eye .. he is a star. Sarah feels that her image is subpar and does not want the public to berate either herself, nor Cameron if they were to show that they are indeed a couple.

In Playing for Keeps, the duo come into contact with some negativity from the fans. Since PR doesn't feel that their relationship should be made public, Cameron is made to be in a fake relationship with his co-star. When Sarah was seen with Cameron in a romantic way, all heck breaks loose and rumors begin that Cameron is cheating. Thing is ... it's all fake. His heart belongs to Sarah and he just wants to come clean and tell the truth, yet production does not want that to happen. It causes for so much confusion and turmoil, but in the end, we know who belongs with whom. Question is .. can Sarah take the pressure? Is she comfortable being the supposed other woman? Will Cameron follow the rules of his bosses or will he stand up and do what's right for the woman he loves?

This is such a fantastic series and I hope that you will pick up copies for yourself. It's today, it's true and it's realistic. This is a story of real, everyday people. Honestly a very feel good series and you will definitely want to thank me if you take my advice and read it for yourself. :)

On the bright side, it turns out she’s rather good at it - much to the chagrin of the studio’s PR team.
