He was my protector. My savior. He would have done anything for me.

Now he's a criminal, and he's taken everything.

He's my stepbrother and I hate him.

I'm homeless, jobless, desperate. And I had to come crawling back. To him.

Bad enough my college money went to post his bail, now I have to work in the same, seedy bar he deals out of, too, just to get by? And listen to him with girl after girl, night after night, while he walks around all shirtless and sexy during the day?

I'm going crazy--wanting him. I know I shouldn't.

Maybe he was once my Prince Charming, but now he's just a big, tattooed, pierced, cocky prick.

Problem is, even though he cut contact with me two years ago, I couldn't turn off the feeling I had for him. He's back, and my feelings are back too.

Now he's in trouble, with his gang, with the law. And me... I'm in trouble, too.

What happens when the one person you desire the most is off limits.  You know that society is completely against everything  you are feeling, but you just can't seem to cut off the emotional pull.  Would you be willing to step on the toes of what most would think to possibly find true happiness.

Abigail has lost everythig from her parents, her college trust fund, her home.  The only thing she has left is her car and her step brother Kaiden.  This is the man who was once her hero, the one she thought of as her prince charming.  The thing is, Kaiden is no longer the person he was.  Abigail still holds strong her feelings for him, but can she truly overlook his past and the fact that he is the very reason that she is not in college and having to stay in his run down trailer listening to every woman he brings home.

Kaiden knows that he is not the person that he used to be, even though he still wants to be the prince charming that Abigail remembers and deserves.   He has run from his feelings for so long that he doesn't know anything else.  He has become someone that he never wanted to in order to keep her safe, but unfortunately when she enters into his world unknowingly he does anything he can to keep her safe.  But, will he lose himself in the process and maybe even cost her more.

For a book that is about a taboo topic that is growing in intrest, this book is really good.  Society looks at people who fall for "family" members as being wrong.  But, is it really wrong when they are not blood related and adults.  This is a question we have to ask.   I don't have a problem with it because for one, I am a true believer in love.  So for me this book is just that a wonderful romance novel that has you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering if good will over come evil.  Can you right your past and have the future that you have always wanted.  We all want a prince charming to not only resque us, but to give us that fairy tale life.  I guess these are a few of the highlights that makes you read this book from cover to cover without realizing that you have not even laid it down.  I am looking forward to reading more stories like this from Alex Abbott.  I hope that you like this book as much as I have.
