Determined to establish a new life far from the ghosts of her past, twenty-two year old Sydney Paige is willing to try anything to launch her reporting career and quiet the painful memories of her family back home.

Money-driven Mason Lachlan knows exactly what he wants in life and how to get it. Nothing stands in the way of the successful millionaire’s next deal, not even the deeply-buried anguish he feels from being abandoned by his father and tucked away as a dark family secret.

When Sydney must report the biggest land deal to hit South Padre in years, Mason becomes the focus of her story. Problems surface when their undeniable attraction for each other compromises everything they both have worked for.

Can love exist when bottom lines and deadlines collide?

This is a standalone Contemporary Romance, there is NO cliffhanger!

Mason Lachlan always gets what he wants. It doesn't matter if he wants the woman at the hotel counter, or if its the latest, potentially hottest piece of land in San Padre. He wants it. He gets it. When he meets Sydney Paige on his newest business venture, there is no difference in him getting what he wants. But when this reporter tells him no, he isn't quite sure what to think. He knows that he has to prove to Sydney that he isn't the pompous ass that he comes across as.

Sydney Paige has worked for everything in her life. It is no shock that when the beaches of San Padre are being threatened for sale, she jumps on the opportunity to cover the story. Can she get the story she needs by the time she needs it? When she runs into Mason at the local trailer park for his new building site she knows there is much more to the story than Mason, or any of the patrons of the trailer park are really telling her.

The attraction that ignites between them is beyond outstanding. There is no mistake that the chemistry between Mason, and Sydney is meant to bring all sorts of feels to the table. There was no hesitation in knowing that something great would happen between the two. TA Faster did a wonderful job bringing the pair together in this novel. While it is a standalone, I am always hoping that we see more of Mason and Sydney in another novel down the road.

I thoroughly enjoy all of TA Foster's book. Having read her novel, The Magnolia Affair, I knew that Because of Sydney would not disappoint. The plot line was easy to follow, the chemistry between Mason, and Sydney was outstanding, and there was no disappointment in this novel. TA Foster is an outstanding author when it comes to contemporary romances.
