Isabelle and Ian are twins enjoying their senior year of high school with their whole lives ahead of them. She is auditioning for Julliard and he has offers for soccer scholarships at any school he wants. Only Isabelle knew he was planning to put off college and join the Army.
Tragedy strikes one day and Ian is killed. In her grief Isabelle decides to put her dream on hold and honor his. While deployed tragedy strikes again and she is injured. Thinking her dreams are out of reach she gives up on life. This is a story of the human spirit, how much it can overcome and how strong she will have to be if she wants to reclaim her dreams.
Wow Cassidy ... you REALLY know how to bring the emotions out of people. Holy cow! I think I cried for a good 4 chapters. Great job with that .. you made me feel like I was there. As I knew each and every character. A+!
Twins Izzy and Ian were as close as can be. They shared the same traits, except for their eyes. Hers were green and his were blue. Jet black hair and simply gorgeous. Izzy is a ballerina, who is auditioning for a position in Julliard. Ian is a star soccer player, with a scholarship to any school that he chooses. He made his choice to go to the University of Tennessee.
Ian had a game, the day of Izzy's audition and he wasn't about to miss it. Obviously rushing to get there on time, Ian is an accident. This tragedy forever alters everyone's life.
Ian's best friend, Conner steps in and helps any and everywhere he can. He lost a brother, but  he wasn't going to lose the relationship he has with Izzy and the family. Conner mows the lawn, helps with dinner and eventually helps by finding out what Izzy has been sneaking around doing. Once he finds out, he is devastated. She has decided to honor Ian's dream and join the military. Since Ian was unable, she knows that this is what he would want.
The story now takes a huge turn and the two become lovers, with no expectation from either. However, Conner is so afraid that he is going to lose her, as he lost Ian. Tragedy hits yet again and we see just how much the two love each other. Conner is one amazing man. I mean ... AMAZING!! Izzy does not believe that she deserves the love that he gives. She feels that she will always be a burden and a bother, but Conner will not hear any of that.
The story is gut wrenching and heart breaking, yet beautiful at the same time. Make sure that you pick up your copy today. When I saw that the cover shows ballet and the military, I knew I had to  read it. I am a former ballerina and my husband a soldier. This touched me in so many ways, that it is indescribable. Please, please take a chance and read this beautiful story. I know that you will not regret it.

I'm a born and raised Floridian who loves to travel. I married my high school sweetheart, we have three awesome kids and one crazy dog. I love all things Ireland and visited twice! Reading is essential to life and writing is an extension of that. If my books can make you laugh or give you that tingly feeling in your belly I've done something right!
