Jackson Steele and Sylvia Brooks continue to thrill in the second novel of a scintillating, emotionally charged new trilogy that returns to the world of J. Kenner’s beloved Stark novels: Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me.

I never thought I’d lose control, but his desire took me right to the edge.

Powerful, ambitious, and devastatingly sexy, Jackson Steele was unlike any other man I’d ever known. He went after what he wanted with his whole mind, body, and soul—and I was the woman in his sights. One touch and I surrendered, one night together and I was undone.

Jackson and I had secrets, dark pieces of our pasts that threatened to swallow us both. We couldn’t outrun our demons, or the people trying to tear us apart. But in our passion we found salvation, and in each other’s arms we found release.

I was scared to trust Jackson fully, to finally let go. Yet no matter the dangers that lay ahead, I knew I was his—and now that we’ve laid claim, there’s no more holding back.

On My Knees is intended for mature audiences.

I am gonna start with the assumption that you have read the Stark Trilogy, and you read the first book , Say My Name, that contained Jackson and Sylvia's story.  Picking up right where we left off in the first book we find Jackson and Sylvia becoming more involved with each other and the Santa Cortez project.

This time though the struggles that the two of them face not only as individuals, but as a couple, come at them from many different directions.  As they learn to not only cope with these problems themselves, but they begin to lean on each other to work through what is bothering them.  They still have a ways to go, but we are able to see them maturing in multiple ways.  The support that they receive from Cass and Nikki, and even Damien says alot.

In away this book seemed to start off a bit slow for me, but as I moved forward and continue reading, because I wanted to know what was going to happen between this emotional couple, I reached a point to where I did not want to put it down.  Mrs. Kenner again keeps us feeling the emotional struggles that our two lovers face.  Not only does she have them trying to find a balance with each other, but she has them trying to balance the secrets that they carry that are so determined to get out.  Add to this the drama that comes along with being part of a high class caliber and it just seems to keep growing.  This in itself is enough to make you wonder what Karma is going to throw their way next.

As always when it comes to reading a work by J. Kenner, you don't want to miss out.  You must follow the paths that she sends her couples on to see what will happen with them next and will they get their happy endings.  Not only does she allow us this journey with Jackson and Sylvia, but we still get to keep tabs on what is taking place in the lives of our beloved Damien and Nikki.  Who could ask for more... yep you got it ME!!!! So wonder where we get to go from here?  What does she have up her sleeve to give us next in the literary world?
