A sweet and steamy New Adult Romance from Amazon bestselling author of the Ruthless People series, J.J. McAvoy…

After an erotic one-week fling with a musician she meets in a bar, Thea Cunning never expects to see Levi Black again. Then Monday morning comes around, and she discovers that her former lover is not only her professor, but he’s also one of the top criminal lawyers in the state of Massachusetts.

With everyone in class vying to be one of the twelve disciples—a group of twelve students that Professor Black takes under his wing—tensions run high. Thea considers dropping his class, given their passionate week together and their undeniable chemistry. After all, there are other (less infuriatingly sexy) law professors on campus.

But to accomplish her goal and get her father out of prison, Thea knows she needs to learn under the best of the best—and that’s Levi Black.

But can she learn under the best, without being under the best?

Oh My Gosh!!!! Talk about a fantastic story!!! How about the amazing Writing?? Or the unbelievable characters??? Seriously crazy good!!!!

Thea & Levi……wow!!!! Hot! Hot! Hot! Thea is seriously damaged. In more ways than anyone knows. Her mother had serious issues and ignored her most of her life and her father is in prison for a crime he did not commit. She knows this for a fact. She’s studying to be an attorney just so she can get him out. She’s worked her ass off raising her little sister, taking care of her grandmother, taking care of and watching her mother die, and putting herself through law school. She is almost done with school just a few more classes. She meets this amazing man and decides after a one night stand she needed more. They agree to a week - they are on break from school and she’s gonna get her fill of him during the week and then let him go. Will she be able to? Will he be able to walk away from her?

Levi is really two different people. He’s one person with Thea and he’s a completely other person when being the hot shot attorney that he is.  He’s hardly ever lost a case, he teaches a class at the college and it totally surprised when after their week he finds Thea on the front row of his new class.

It’s ok because neither of them knew. He didn’t know she was a law student and she didn’t know he was teaching her class. So far they’ve done nothing wrong. However, she’s having a really hard time being around him and not, well, AROUND him! LOL She needs him to be her teacher. She needs to learn from him because she’s worked too hard to throw it all away now. But she also needs him emotionally because she might just not make it without him.

When Thea goes through the hardest thing in her life Levi never leaves her. She pushes and pushes him away and he’s always there as her teacher but he’s also not willing to let her go after class time either. Will she allow him to help her? Take care of her? When everything is telling her to let him go and to focus on whats at task will she let him in?

The first half I couldn’t stop reading because it was seriously HOT! The second half I couldn’t stop reading because it was sooooooo eventful and exciting!!! Levi is a real superhero in every way and you will surely be as addicted to him as I am!!!

The story is complete and with the epilogue it’s just fantastic. I love books with an epilogue!!! The characters are simply amazing. The writing is off the hook!!!

Highly Recommend!!!!

She snored. It wasn’t loud, or obnoxious; it was kind of cute actually. She was wrapped up in the sheets, her legs peeking out slightly, and she held on to my arm as she slept, but I didn’t mind. It was odd that I didn’t mind. I really didn’t know much about her, but I found myself wanting to know her.

“I can feel you staring at me,’ she whispered, as she shifted beneath the sheets.

“You snore.”

“I do not!” she shot back immediately, sounding both embarrassed, and hurt at my remark.

I laughed. “You do.”

“I know,” she gave in with a laugh, as she covered her face with her hands.

I laughed along with her. Her laughter was infectious.

“It’s alright, it’s actually cute.”

She looked at me for a moment, like she was trying to read me, but with a little sigh, she gave up and rose from her position and stepped out of bed, taking the sheets with her.

“I’m going to take a shower.”

“Okay, then I’ll make us something to eat,” I said, already on my feet.

She paused turning back to me, “You cook too?”

“Yes?”

“Please tell me it’s like, only eggs or something.”

“What? No, I can cook.”

“Damn it, Levi, I like my men just under perfect, thank you!”

“Would you like me to burn one side of the toast?”

“You’d better.” She glared and I kissed her lips quickly.

“Don’t worry Thea, I’m nowhere near perfect.”

“So you say.”

She kissed me back once more before she headed into the bathroom.

“You’re amazingly weird, has anyone ever told you that?”

“It’s all part of my charm, Mr. Black.”

Snickering, I shook my head at her and headed into the kitchen, wondering whether or not she really wanted me to burn her toast.

“I’ll just make one burnt and the other one fine.”

What was happening to me?”
