Lauren Reynolds wanted only two things in life—to run her father’s horse breeding business and Colt Matthews. Fearing Colt would take her position within the family business, she tried to push him far away from her heart.

When life could no longer keep Lauren and Colt apart, their two worlds became one. Every second of every moment, they spent together. Their love bloomed into something neither of them imagined—a bond so strong Lauren and Colt believed nothing would ever stand in their way.

However, life threw a cruel twist into Colt and Lauren’s planned happily ever after. Will fate let them live out the life they dreamed of, or will one of them be left alone, lost and angry?

“I’ll spend forever holding you … even if it’s only in my memory.”

When I saw the cover of this book, I knew I had to read it! I am an avid equestrian myself, and love immersing myself back into that very fond memory of mine. Anyways! On to the review! I have the opportunity of reviewing the first book in the series - review to come on that - and really enjoyed it! Kelly Elliott did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life in this series, and it seems that if you read the Wanted Series by her that makes both series flow seamlessly.

Lauren wants to prove that she has what it takes to run her family's horse breeding business. From pairing up horses for annual breedings, and taking care of day to day tasks, her father doesn't seem to trust her unless Colt is somehow involved in the decision making of the ranch. That wouldn't be a problem for Lauren, if she wasn't so upset over the decision that was made by her father concerning the activities of the ranch, and who is in charge of them. Is this the chance Lauren has been waiting for? She gets the chance of a life time, and takes this opportunity to run with it.

Kelly Elliott brought a lot of emotion to this book. While I felt it moved a little fast, I feel like it was necessary in order to fit what needed to be said, and the overall plot line in this book. I would have liked a bit more explanation on a few things, but again, I think reading the Wanted Series would really clear a lot of things up overall in the Love Wanted In Texas Series. It is not hard to follow along though if you haven't read the other series, and it is only receiving a 4.5 Bar review from me due to the fact that I felt like the story line moved too fast for my liking.

Other than that, beautiful story about a woman who gets what she wants after waiting for as long as she possibly could. She gets to take a chance that never would have been possible without a little push from those that love, and care for her, and her future with her parents horse breeding farm. Wonderful job, Kelly! Thank you for the opportunity to review your books!

Lauren stood before me with the sexiest grin on her face. “That. Was. Fun.”

Laughing, I pulled her into my arms. “Yeah it was. I’ve never done anything like that before.”
Gazing into my eyes, Lauren seemed sedated. Her eyes sparkled and I imagined taking her again on the table and just burying my dick deep inside her as I slowly made love to her.

Lauren’s eyes filled with love as she spoke softly. “I’ve never done anything like that before either. We have lots of firsts together.”
Rubbing her nose with mine, I whispered, “Yes we do. I have a lot more firsts planned for us, Lauren.”
Burying her face in my chest, she said in a muffled voice, “I can’t wait.”

Kelly Elliott is married to a wonderful Texas cowboy who has a knack for making her laugh almost daily and supports her crazy ideas and dreams for some unknown reason...he claims it's because he loves her!
She’s also a mom to an amazing daughter who is constantly asking for something to eat while her fingers move like mad on her cell phone sending out what is sure to be another very important text message.

In her spare time she loves to sit in her small corner overlooking the Texas hill country and write.

One of her favorite things to do is go for hikes around her property with Gus....her chocolate lab and the other man in her life, and Rose, her golden retriever. When Kelly is not outside helping the hubby haul brush, move rocks or whatever fun chore he has in store for her that day, you’ll find her inside reading, writing or watching HGTV.
