For Jayceon Ashworth, he's lucky to make it through the day without the torment and aggravation. Pushing aside the taunting, he focuses on football and art until Seona Fisher crashes into his life.

Seona Fisher gets a second chance. Moving to College Station, Texas to be with her brother, Travis, is something she needs to escape the demons of her past. Starting over is never easy. Letting go of old habits is hard, but seeing his green eyes changes her world.

A friendship turns into them both wanting one another, and neither of them able to fight their feelings. But when the demons of darkness come back, Seona has to find her way through and back into Jayceon's arms.

This was a beautifully collaborated piece between S. Moose, and Rebecca Brooke. I have read most of S. Moose's books, and absolutely loved them. This was my first read by Rebecca Brooke, and I am really interested in reading more of her books.

We are introduced to Jayceon. Bullied for over a year now, he is close to calling football, and his senior year quits. If it wasn't the light of the end of the tunnel which is NYU for him, he would have given up along time ago. Between his overall goal of a football scholarship to NYU, and his best friend Alyssa, he has to keep his head on his shoulders, and his focus set on his ultimate goal.

Seona comes into the picture with a back story of her own that is just devastating. Running away from home to College Station, TX seems to be the best restart for her, and her future. But when she gets there, she meets Jayceon. The quiet, walls-up, don't let anybody in, guy that hangs out in the art room during lunch, and hurries away from football practice quicker than anyone else.

When the two of them meet it is a hard life lesson for Jayceon. He stood up for someone a year prior, and ever since then he's the one that's been bullied, tortured, and turned against by everyone at the High School. For Seona, it's been dealing with her mentally abusive father who finally drove her to living with her stepbrother. Breaking down Jayceon's walls isn't so easy, but she is determined to make him her friend despite the rumors that circulate.

When Seona gets a visit from her past, all hell seems to break loose. It is no shock that Seona's perfect little life that she has created in Texas soon falters, and comes back to haunt her. Can Jayceon, and Seona stay happy? Will their love for another prevail the rumors, and the past?

I can sit here, and go on, and on, and ON about Beautiful Lessons. It is one of those books that when you pick it up, be prepared to spend the entire day, or night reading it. A beautiful story about overcoming your past, and being the person you want, or need to be.

I loved Jayceon, and Seona. The chemistry that they shared from their first meeting of complete hate, to the ending of the book - that I won't give away! - it was a great read. There were a few times that I felt the book moved along way too fast, but it seemed to be necessary as it is a standalone novel at this point. A very strong 5 bar review for both, S. Moose, and Rebecca Brooke.

I head to the cafeteria and feel someone staring at me. It’s not that creepy feeling, but something I can’t explain. My body is on high alert, and I swear I can hear my heart beating faster and faster. Everything around me slows down. My mind grows curious and my body has a mind of its own. Slowly turning my head to the right, I find piercing, bright green eyes staring back at me. He’s not smiling, but his eyes are telling me something different. They’re holding a story I want to curl up to and read. It’s hard to explain these new feelings. I want to keep looking at him and explore his incredibly sexy body.

My mouth opens a little, but I quickly close it when I hear Chaz calling for me. I turn around and head over to their table. I get introduced to some of the football team, as Chaz places his arm around my shoulders.

Slightly turning my head, I see the mystery boy with green eyes. He’s not looking at me anymore, but God I wish he was looking at me. When I saw Chaz this morning, I thought I knew the definition of a hot guy, then I saw the one across the room and my definition of it has forever been changed. Hot is not a fair word to describe him, sexy as hell is a much better description.
