He didn’t think, he didn’t question—he just acted.

What she wanted, she took—without regard.

It was only one night, but it changed everything.

After losing his fiancée, Ben Covington is unsure he’ll ever love again. But he’s so deeply drawn to Bell Wilde that he’s thrown for a loop. Maybe it’s purely sexual chemistry that’s igniting their spark… or maybe it’s his second chance at love.

Bell Wilde has just gotten her life back on track and may not be up the challenge of Ben Covington coming back into it. However, once the spark is reignited…there’s no stopping it. But even if they both manage to pull together their frayed hearts, a secret from Bell’s past just might shatter them both.

This story was absolutely breathtaking.  Kim Karr has outdone herself once again.  I have to admit, I was 42% in sending Kim messages on Facebook about how worried I was that the bottom was going to drop out and that everything was going to go south for our characters.  It does but in a good way and it definitely ends in the perfect HEA!

In this Connections novel, we see Ben and Bell again just like in Blurred.  The difference here isn't that they are older and wiser its that they have tried to fight what they have between them for longer than anyone possibly should and in the process have grown individually.  Ben is in a place where he's set for life, not because he wants to be but because money presented itself at a time when he was at his lowest and instead of squandering it away, he decided to put it to the best use possible and is launching his own company finally.  While at an award ceremony to accept the award for L.A.'s Journalist of the Year, Ben sees Bell Wilde again for the first time in a few months and he still can't get her off his mind.  The woman renders him completely speechless every time he sees her.  She's the breath of air he needs in his lungs and he will stop at nothing to get her to see it no matter how many people in his life tell him to back off and let the past be the past.

Bell Wilde or S'belle as Ben refers to her, wants nothing to do with the dreamy surfer boy with the crazy blonde hair, but that's just what her mind tells her.  Her body thrums to the beat of a different drummer and it definitely recognizes her equal in Ben. She fights but eventually she just can't deny the attraction they shared six year ago and the attraction that is obvious to everyone around them still today.  No matter how much penance has been made with Dahlia London, her now Sister-in-Law, she can't shake the fact that being with Ben would be wrong for not only her but everyone in her family.  But for Ben and Dahlia, their relationship and what happened back in college between S'belle and himself at a party is water under the bridge.  Armed with a plan to make Ben disappear by asking for a friends only relationship, she's endeared and a little annoyed that he won't take the bait and just disappear for good.

When the past has to finally come out of the closet and skeletons are revealed, Ben bolts but can he get past his personal demons to overcome the information S'belle has dropped on him after so many years?

This was just an absolutely fabulous read.  I never liked Ben in Connected or Torn when he disappeared and returned to try and claim what was once his.  But he completely redeemed himself in Blurred and Frayed.  In Frayed, he's a man who knows what he wants and will stop at nothing to realize that life. He's grown so much as a character from Connected  and Torn.  He's been to hell and back almost literally and yet he's come out the other side as the hero instead of the dud.  Bell is a woman who isn't comfortable in her own skin, she has no idea where she's going in life.  She's been babied by her whole family for something that happened 6 years ago and has yet to figure out her own path outside of the Wilde name. She doesn't love event planning and she definitely doesn't love her boss, Tate Wyatt, but what she knows for certain is she can't stay away from Ben Covington, no matter how much her family will hate her new reality when it slaps them in the face.

Such an incredible series and incredible story!  I absolutely love Ben and Bell together.  Let's say I was pulling my hair out most of the story, but the end was absolute perfection!  There wasn't a more perfect ending.  I was giggle and fist pumping in the air when what I wanted to happen finally happened and I was in their shoes once which made it even more relatable and lovable!    I've never read a series quite like this but I hope that Kim has many more planned.  I could read novella after novella of the Connections series all day long and be perfectly content!  I am a fan for life and look forward to anything and everything this truly gifted Author comes up with next!

I live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I've always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, I wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. I went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work part-time with my husband and full-time embracing one of my biggest passions—writing.

I wear a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of the family. However, I always find time to read. One of my favorite family outings use to be taking my kids to the bookstore or the library. Today, my oldest child is in college and my twins are juniors so they no longer go with me on these outings. And although I don't need to go to the actual store anymore because I have the greatest device ever invented—a Kindle, I still do. There's nothing like a paperback. So now my four year old and I make dates out of going to the bookstore--it's time I love and cherish.

I like to believe in soulmates, kindred spirits, true friends, and Happily-Ever-Afters. I love to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart.

Connected was my debut novel and is currently available on AmazonBarnes & Noble , iTunes and Kobo.

Torn is the sequel to Connected and was just released on October 1st, 2013. It is available for purchase on AmazonBarnes & NobleiTunes, and Kobo.

I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
