  Review.....
 (4.5 Bars)

I have never read anything by S.E. Hall or Erin Noelle before and this book has made me a HUGE fan. I can’t wait to dig into more of their works. I found myself sneaking a chance to read every second I could. My kids thought it was pretty silly of me to be cooking and reading at the same time but I didn’t drop my iPad in the food so I think it worked out in my favor. The prologue was smoking hot. I was pretty surprised with reading a book that started out the way this one did but I have to say, I LOVED it!
Graham Harrison has just lost his brother Devon to suicide. He takes it upon himself to do a little investigation of his own because he doesn’t believe Devon would ever do such a thing. Graham changes his name to Bryce Griggs and gets a job at the pharmaceutical company his brother was an intern at to see if he could uncover the truth of what really happened to Devon. What he didn’t plan on is meeting the beautiful Jocelyn Craig. The moment Bryce meets Jocelyn it’s like there is a magnet pulling them together.
Jocelyn is the daughter of the CEO of the pharmaceutical company. Just breaking it off with her longtime boyfriend Bryce is just what she needs to keep her mind off of everything. He is the total opposite of her ex and that is even more appealing to her. Bryce cares what she thinks and cares about what she actually likes.
As the relationship goes on Bryce finds more and more leads that keep him away from his promises to Jocelyn and that becomes a problem. Not being able to tell her who he really is and what he’s really doing really eats him up. What he doesn’t know is Jocelyn is actually doing her own investigations as well. She is finding some pretty shady things happening at the office too.
I absolutely loved this book. The characters were amazing!! So down to earth and funny I found myself laughing a lot. I not only loved both Jocelyn and Bryce/Graham, but Lys had me rolling and Reagan was amazing too. Bryce/Graham has a heart of gold and is a great protector. I was swooning over that man!! I also loved how Jocelyn had a good head on her shoulders and quit putting up with her greedy ex. There is so much I could say about that man that I hate but I’ll let ya’ll read it and make your own assumptions.
What a great read through and through. I loved the whole suspense/mystery going on. I liked how I wasn’t guessing what was going to happen next, I just kept reading. I find myself with some books guessing and losing interest quickly because they are so predictable. That wasn’t the case with this book. It was very well written and the pace was perfect. So much happens in this book you really won’t want to put it down!!

Excerpt
She giggles and kisses my lips softly. “I live here, so I’m not escaping, frowny-face. I need to use the bathroom.” She wrestles out from underneath my hold, stretching her arm to the chair beside the bed. Sitting up on the edge, she slips on a satin robe before standing.

“Why are you covering up that body, babe? I was already hard waiting to watch you go,” I tease…except not at all teasing.

“What?” She glances over her shoulder with a sassy grin. “You don’t like it?” She looks at her silky attire and runs her hands over the robe enticingly. “I’ll have you know, I’ve been told pink is my color.” Her mouth turns down subtly the second the words escape; a faraway sadness ghosting across her eyes for a fleeting second before she quickly dismisses the thought away and fakes a smile.

A surge of nausea consumes me, a shiver elicited with the chill that creeps up my spine, the unfair devil of irony dousing me in frigid shame and guilt.

It’s her—my Jocelyn—was Devon’s…fascination, his ‘I hope she feels the same.’

I just made love to the woman my little brother never even got a chance to ask on a date.
