Being happy. It sounds so simple. Yet, it seems that it’s always just out of reach for Shannon Ryan.

After serving overseas for six years as a female United States Marine, Ryan is finally getting out the military. But coming home to live with her biker brother and his motorcycle club is more difficult than she thought it would be. Much has changed in the years that she has been gone, including Ellis, her brother’s best friend and childhood crush.

Ellis 'Dirty' Crane is the second in command for Tormented Souls Motorcycle Club. The only thing he lives for is the club, that is until Ryan comes home, no longer the wild little girl that followed him around. The two things standing in his way of getting what he wants are Patrick, Ryan's brother and leader of the club, and Jeremiah, Ryan’s boyfriend.  Can Ellis break through Ryan’s walls? Burn them and Jeremiah down? Prove to her brother that he’s the right man for her? Or is Ryan hiding more than she’s letting on?

Ok... so I admit I am a sucker when it comes to a book about a motorcycle club, but this book is unlike any other biker book.

Shannon Ryan is just getting home to visit with her brother and his motorcycle club.  She is going to waste what leave she has left from the military before she gets out having fun, living life, and enjoying finding some peace on her bike.  She wants to forget about everything that has happened and focus on what lies ahead of her and how her decisions will ultimately affect the rest of her life.

Ellis "Dirty" Crane has been Ryan's crush for as long as they have known each other.  Ellis is the second in command to Ryan's brother in their motorcycle club Tormented Souls.  He has sat back and watched the woman Ryan has become and is determined that this time she will not slip away from him, and that he can be the type of man that she needs, even if she doesn't know it yet.  He let her get away once and is not going to let that happen again, even if he has to go through her brother to get their.

When these two are around each other sparks fly, but their are a few complications in their way.  The first one being Shannon's boyfriend Jeremiah.  The problem is, she doesn't know how to get rid of him, and Ellis doesn't want to over step his bounds in an off sort of way and not to mention, Patrick, Shannon's brother and Ellis's best friend would kill him if he even suspected Ellis having feelings towards his sister... or would he?

I feel in love with Shannon Ryan from the very beginning of this book.  She is not your typical woman in means of being prissy and needing to have some one do things for her.  She is a marine who will not hesitate to put any man in his place... to say it lightly don't PISS Her off....  She is not afraid to be sexy, show her stuff, and yet tell you how it is.  She can be tough when she needs to be of soft and feminine other times, which makes Ellis fall even harder for her.  This book kept me hanging on by a thread all the way to the end. The sex in this book was hot and was out of this world in means of heating up and throwing your imagination in overdrive.  Then when you don't expect it the curve that Rachael Orman hits you with will have you setting there with your mouth hanging open going NO NO NO...  The beauty of it is how she takes this twist and turns it into something wonderful.  I will gladly reread this story over and over again.  I can say that it is a great story that has a strong willed woman who gives it her all and even though it is a motorcycle book, it doesn't place all of the focus on the club members... it is a truly wonderful story.

Rachael is a stay at home mom with 2 young daughters and a husband that keep her constantly on her toes. She lives in the extremely hot state of Arizona, where she reads and writes away the blistering heat outside. She is a cancer survivor with a quirky personality. She’s been an avid reader for as long as she can remember and been writing since she was in high school. Her hopes of being a writer were crushed when she was young but one day she decided she was going to do what makes her happy and that was to write.
