Relentless Hope reminds us how life can change in an instant. How one mistake can make your world turn upside down in a blink of an eye. This story has so many ups and downs but I loved it. I felt invested and HAD to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next.

Aleah makes a mistake but to her family it was a devastating one. This made me angry because this poor thing had her future in the palm of her hands. Having a scholarship to a university and having to throw that away is major!! Aleah hasn’t ever worked a day in her life, she just went to school. What young person doesn’t make mistakes? With the culture of her family the mistake was grave and had major consequences that one Aleah found out what those were she had to run for her life.

When all of your friends and family have turned their back on you where do you go? Aleah had never worked a day in her life, had very little money, and was on her own with nowhere to go. With running away she had to be pretty careful so she wasn’t found. A chance in a lifetime arises with a job opportunity and a roof over her head.

This is where we meet David. He’s an older gentleman that is counting down the days for his cancer to take over his body. David has definitely not been a saint in his younger years and has found himself trying to make up for his past mistakes. He rescues Aleah but tells her from the beginning that he is not giving her a handout but an opportunity to make something of her life.

Come to find out David is a multimillionaire and his family is pretty much just waiting for him to die to collect his fortune. They do not like Aleah being close to him and are not very nice to her but Aiden; David’s grandson. He is the only one that comes around to see David. It was love at first sight for Aleah but with her past mistake she denied her feelings.

Will Aleah let her guard down and eventually let Aiden in? Will Aleah be able to make a life for herself with her daunting past? Wow, this book was amazing. What I loved about it was the fact that it was different from the books I normally read. It had so much going on but I wasn’t lost at all. I was totally zoned in and couldn’t put it down. What I learned from it was to not take things for granted. Even though it wasn’t a true story it kind of hit a nerve to wake up and enjoy what I have. Things can truly change in an instant no matter how young or old you are. I also loved that Aleah was a true heroine. No matter how much she was put down or stomped on she always got up and went about her way. Yes, she was hurt but she didn’t let people take her down.

We walk up the stairs when we get there and go directly to one of the outdoor terraces to see the view. We get there as the sun is setting over the L.A. sky and the view is simply breathtaking. He puts his arm around me as we lean on the railing to take in the view in front us and I can’t help but lean into him. I place my head on his shoulder and get a waft of his smell, and it’s enough to make me get lost in his intoxicating scent.

I feel all my senses slowly losing control. Every cell in my body is drawn to his, the pull so strong that the strongest of forces will have no chance against it. I turn my head slightly up to gaze into his eyes and see every bit of the emotions running through my body reflected back in his sparkling eyes.

At the moment, the urge to lock my lip with his is so powerful that it washes away every ounce of fear and second thought in my mind. I let my body get pulled to the magnetic force, as I turn my head up to slowly touch my lips to his. At first, it’s the softest of touches. Just a sensation of one pair of lips against another, but the havoc this slight touch wrecks to every nerve in my body has the force of a tornado.

He moves his lips slowly against mine in a sensual rhythm that has butterflies dancing in every corner of my stomach. It’s a slow tender kiss, but it’s packed with so much emotion that it makes my knees go week. He brings his hands up to cup my face running his fingers gently on my cheeks and I feel every last bit of the walls around my heart crumble into a million pieces at my feet.
