Their body art is hot. Their chemistry is even hotter.
From her dark hair sweeping below her waist to her soft, sexy curves, Tenley Page intrigues tattoo artist Hayden Stryker in a way no one else ever has…especially when she asks him to ink a gorgeous, intricate design on her back. Yet for all her beauty, there is something darkly tragic and damaged about Tenley that Hayden is everything.
Covered in ink and steel, Hayden is everything Tenley has never dared to want, awakening a desire to explore more than the art adorning his stunning body. Trapped by a past that leaves her screaming from nightmares, Tenley sees Hayden as the perfect escape. Although he has secrets too, if they both keep themselves guarded perhaps their intense physical connection will remain only that.
But nothing, not even passion, can keep them safe from their pasts…

I love a good story that encompasses real life circumstances and true to life feelings. I gave this book five bars because it was well deserved. I would have given it more if I could!! If you are a sucker for an amazingly hot, sexy and passionate love story, this is for you. The passion between the two is just immense. I could feel the desire between the two. I see things and hear songs and think of the ever so hot and sexy Hayden.

Hayden and Tenley have both unfortunately lived through hard times and tragedy. What they don't know is that they can help each other through the good and the bad. Neither one of them want to open up and tell their life story, as it pains them terribly. Hayden has never had a serious relationship; he never thought that he wanted one. Until now. Tenley was the one that he has been waiting for...she is the ones that he craves.

Hayden owns and operates a tattoo shop called Inked Armor. Tenley works across the street at his Aunt's book store and cafe, Serendipity. Before long, Hayden finds himself making excuses to see Tenley by saying he is going on a coffee run, or to talk to his aunt. He almost always finds himself in the store, to catch a glimpse of Tenley. Tenley is intrigued, although she is afraid of getting close. She doesn't want the pain that love sometimes brings. She doesn't deserve love ... at least that is what she tells herself. She blames herself for the tragedy that occurred just 10 short months earlier. Don't let her fool you though. She knows that Hayden has a weakness for cupcakes. She bakes up a batch and brings them over to Inked Armor, just to set eyes on him. Tenley however, has a thick outer shell. She does not and will not let on that she has any interest in Hayden. She definitely plays hard ball.

Tenley decides that she would like a tattoo that would represent her life and her tragic loss. Already being possessive, Hayden decides that he will put the ink on her, and no one else. Hayden struggles with this idea. He made a rule at Inked Armor. Never, ever date or sleep with clients. He didn't want the tension and chaos that may come with dating a client, it just doesn't work. He knows this from past experience. As Hayden and Tenley get closer, they find that there is no way that they can abide by this rule, they simply do not want to. Brilliantly, Tenley finds a loop hole in this agreement, and this is where the love story begins.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Excerpt:

"Are you giving me a loophole?" His hold tightened.

"Do you want one?" I already knew the answer, but I wanted him to admit it, so I wasn't alone in my need.

Too soon he would be completely off limits; it made me desperate for more of what I knew he could give me. I didn't want to be told I couldn't have this person I wanted, not after having nothing for so long.

"It's not a good idea, Tenley."

"That's not an answer, Hayden." I traced the contour of his bottom lip.

He closed his eyes. I thought he was going to push me away, but then his shoulders sagged in defeat. He bowed forward, his forehead coming to rest on my lower abdomen. I could feel each humid exhalation with every measured breath he took and my body warmed in anticipation. He shook his head back and forth against my stomach, a contradiction to the way his hands moved over my ribs and around my back, holding me to him. Stubble chaffed my skin as he lifted his head , his chin coming to rest below my navel.

I touched his cheek. "It's okay to want someone," I said as much to myself as to Hayden.

"Who do you want to convince?"

I didn't have a chance to answer, though. Hayden lowered his head and pressed his lips to my skin. His hands traveled down my spine to my backside and squeezed. One second I was standing between his legs, the next I was laid out on my bed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope that you enjoy the sizzling Clipped Wings as much as I did. I can't wait to read the next in the series, called Inked Armor, releasing on May 13, 2014. I know it will be just as captivating as ever. There is now however, a new addition to the series called Between the Cracks. This is a novella, and tells the story of Chris Zelter. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on Clipped Wings, and the rest of the series. Helena Hunting has a new HUGE follower in me. Stay tuned for my review of Inked Armor. Happy reading!!!
