“You’re the strongest person I know,” he murmured. “Brody has no idea what he lost when he left you here.”
“You think too much of me, Jeff.” I was unworthy of this man and he didn’t even know it. His body moved closer and when I looked up, our faces were merely inches apart. I waited for my heart to race and thump wildly in my chest. It never happened and I tried to reason that it didn’t matter. But I was lying. I wanted someone who could get my pulse running wild like…
“I think you’re beautiful and kind, and stronger than you give yourself credit for,” he inched closer and my breath hitched, “and I think I want to kiss you.”
My heart stopped and my brain switched off. It had been so long since I experienced the feel of a mans lips on mine.
“Okay,” I breathed. I closed my eyes and held my breath, waiting to feel Jeff’s lips against my own.
Just then, the shrill sound of Jeff’s phone ringing pierced the air and we froze. I opened my eyes.
“Dammit,” Jeff muttered, making me smile.
“You’d better get that,” I replied quietly. “Your brother probably thinks I kidnapped you.”
“I’d be a willing captive, Red.”
My heart stuttered back into a steady rhythm and Jeff kissed my forehead before pulling out his phone to answer it. I hopped off the lounger and took the empty wine glass and beer bottle inside. I stood at the basin, rinsing my wine glass when I saw a shadow standing on the sidewalk. I squinted into the darkness, feeling a familiar chill settle over my skin. A car drove past, illuminating the lone figure. Brody. I stilled, locking eyes with the man who put my life back together only to rip it all up. My heart raced, making my body thrum. I hadn’t felt that when Jeff touched me, or even when he kissed me. No. This feeling my body reserved for only one person.

We meet Demi and Brody both on a day that will forever change their lives.  Both having different news to share with each other.  What should be the happiest day ever for them in turn ends up being the worst day.

These two lovers are soul mates that are definitely meant to be together, but what each of them want from life is what will ultimately be what pushes them apart. Brody desires to move from small town life and decides to take a job in Chicago.  On the day that he decides to tell Demi this, is the day that she has found out that she is pregnant with their child.  After a very heated discussion of how she will not leave Breckenridge where she has in turn taken a job as a teacher.

After a year a part and many heart breaking moments the two are brought back together for both of their best friends who are getting married.  These two lovers are thrown back to being around each other and soon realize that the feelings that they carry for each other have yet to die even after the last year of being apart.  The question is will their hearts and souls find away to pull them back together, or will time, loss, and bad mistakes keep them apart?

I absolutely fell in love with this couple and their best friends Huntley and Grayson.  You could feel the heartache between Demi and Brody and how bad everyone around them wanted to see and aid them into mending the hurt and assisting them into finding one another's arms again.  The only person who doesn't want this is the knifing and manipulative woman that Brody has become involved with while living in Chicago, Sienna.  She puts the capital "B" in bitch in my book.  Anyway back to my two screwed up lovebirds, you cant help but to feel sorry for them for the heart ache that they both put themselves through.  What makes it even worse is when they finally talk to each other about everything that has taken place over the last year.  This book really is a true romance where the two main characters in the book are really soul mates and belong together.  I am so glad that I was able to get to read and review this book.  I enjoyed it so much that I read it in one day because I just could not make myself put it down.  After I was done I was all warm and fuzzy inside and had that "book glow".  It is definitely a book that when you are feeling sappy you will find yourself picking up and rereading time and time again.

When Huntley and Grayson meet, a force so strong pulls them together in a hurricane of feelings neither of them could have ever anticipated. Huntley and Grayson try to stay away from each other, but when Huntley’s demons seek her out, their pasts become the biggest storm of all.
