An independent woman, a controlling man, and one wild one-night stand…
Kat Kennedy moved to the rugged coast of Maine to start a new life, but encountered much more than she bargained for in dark, dangerous, and seductive Lane Wild.

Desire and temptation smolder before she succumbs to her darkest fantasies with the captivating stranger. She doesn't expect to see him again after an explosive one-night stand leaves her breathless and craving more, but just like lightning in the darkness, he shows up in her life at the most unpredictable moments.

A sensual game of cat and mouse ensues before the attraction between them reaches a fever pitch—the magnetism combustible, the sexual tension nearly unbearable—and Kat finally abandons inhibition and explores the cunning, selfish, and sexual side of a world she's never known.

They have the perfect non-relationship—passion-fueled nights with no strings attached—until life gets real and the past and present collide in a dangerous storm of lust and obsession.

What happens when you have a one night stand and the guy won’t go away? Well, if the one night stand happens between Lane Wild & Kat…..things go from cat & mouse to Explosive!!!

Kat thought she could just have a one night stand in this little town and then go about her business. How could she know Lane Wild would end up being everywhere she went? But what a one night it was…..

“Remembering the night we were together?” His finger dusted along the curve of my neck, pulling my long hair around to one shoulder. “Every time I see you, I think about it.” He leaned in, whispering his nose up to my heated flesh. “I think about my hands up and down your body. Taking you in, feeling you shiver underneath me.” He ran his big palms up my thighs, over my hips, narrowing in at my waist, and then up my torse, his thumbs landing just beneath my breasts. “You’re intoxicating,” his gruff voice murmured in my ear. I leaned back into his body, a soft sigh escaping my lips.
“Mmm, that’s a good girl. Giving in, all soft and open for me.” His palms hooked beneath my sweater and touched my heated flesh. Lightning bolts ripped through my body as he slid his rough palms up slowly, heating everything in their wake. His fingertips brushed over the soft satin of my bra, causing my nipples to pucker and pebble under his touch.
“You’re so responsive,” he murmured in my hair, as he took my nipples between his fingers through the fabric, twisting and caressing, causing them to ache and tingle with lust. “Are you wet for me, Sugar?”

Kat is running. She is running from someone and from a life that she didn’t like or want. She knows that if she’s found - she’d dead. She can’t have a life where she stays in one place. She has to keep work light and friends even lighter. And getting involved with someone could be suside. But she’s drawn to Wild like nothing she’s ever felt. She can’t leave him - it would be like leaving her heart behind.

What will happen when her x shows up? She’s not very trusting (with good reason) but will Wild be able to protect her? When someone from her past shows up to help her, will it be enough?

No one thought Lane Wild would settle down. His past is too raw and he’s had too much betrayal to trust anyone. That is until Kat comes to his small town and turns his world upside down. Will he be able to get past his past and trust Kat? Can he trust in a relationship again?

This book is HOT! Very HOT! But the story is really wonderful too. I enjoyed how detailed Adriane Leigh can get. From describing the weather to the small town to being in Kat’s head and her descriptions of how she’s feeling…..simply wonderful!!! I loved this book….can’t wait to read Ridge, the next one in the series.

Adriane Leigh was born and raised in a snowbank in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and now lives among the sand dunes of the Lake Michigan lakeshore.

She graduated with a Literature degree but never particularly enjoyed reading Shakespeare or Chaucer.

She is married to a tall, dark, and handsome guy, and plays mama to two sweet baby girls. She is a voracious reader and wishes she had more time to knit scarves to keep her warm during the arctic Michigan winters.
