My innocence was shattered one steamy October night, when I sold my soul to the devil to pay for a week in a dirty motel room.
Thinking I could rid myself of him, I fled the safety of the nomad lifestyle I had embraced my entire life for the security of a small upstate New York town, alongside my big sister Star.

What I never anticipated was a green eyed stranger that would steal my heart and never look back. And a dark eyed man on a motorcycle, who would teach me how to trust again. Both of them completely shattering every wall I ever put up to keep men out of my vulnerable world.

I am Paisley Bloom, and this is my devastating story.

**This book contains mature situations that may not be suitable for all readers. Assault, abortion, and sex are large parts of this novel.**

For those of you that haven't read Hers (Book 1) or any of the other books in the Hers series by Dawn Robertson, I strongly suggest you pick these books up.  They are erotic, sexy as hell and also very dark as far as some situations and emotions that the characters have to go through from a young age.

In This Girl Stripped (Book 3), we get to really meet Paisley Bloom for the first time.  Sure, we met her in Kink the Halls (Book 2.5) but we didn't really get to know her or River, who m I assumed this book was going to be about.  Turns out, This Girl Stripped isn't really about Paisley and River at all.  It is a journey for Paisley to discover who she really is and wants to be.  Who she wants to be with and what she wants to do with her life.  At 24 years old, who has it all figured out?  Nobody really but when you were 24 you were probably close to figuring it out.

Paisley is sort of aimless and doesn't really know where she belongs or where she wants to be.  She's down in Florida stripping to pay her motel bill for the month and she gets attacked by a bad biker and flees the area.  She ends up in NYC with Seven James-Parker, her sisters long time best friend where she finds out she's pregnant, has an abortion and then heads to Woodstock where all the problems in her life originate from for Thanksgiving with her sister and her new boyfriend, Chrome.  Woodstock is where her parents were hippies, believing too strongly in free love and subjected their children to their swinger lifestyle.  Woodstock is where Paisley's sister Star was raped by Seven's brother, got pregnant, gave birth to her daughter and was forced to give it her for adoption.  See where I'm going with the darkness in this book?  They childhood was crap, but Paisley moves back to Woodstock and meets not one but two men.  First is River, Chrome's baby brother.  He runs the local motel and that's where he met Star for the first time.  He's gorgeous but Emo and broodingly handsome.  He is her first friend in Woodstock and gets her through her abortion.  Then comes Diesel, who belongs to Chrome's Motorcycle Club.  He does the books, he's an accountant, but he's also over 6 feet tall, built like a door and absolutely gorgeous, who could resist?

Now admittedly, I wanted Paisley with Diesel from the start.  River is just far too emotional for my taste.  I was thinking the whole time, please don't let her end up with this guy or if she does, please have him pull his head out of his ass.  I just loved Diesel.  He's a kind, caring, gentle type who calls Paisley "Princess" and treats her like one even though he puts up this big bad biker persona.  I won't tell you who she ends up with but she is torn between these two for the better part of the book.  Their story is full of self loathing and turmoil but each guy puts up the good fight.  Paisley has her demons to deal with and she definitely deals with them in this story.

I love Dawn's character development. I feel like the stories could use a little more editing love but overall they are wholly enjoyable, sexy as hell and get you thinking about your life and make you thankful you have it as good as you do.  I definitely enjoy her writing and the eroticism that Dawn brings to the table.  Like I said, read the Hers series with a change of panties, especially when you read about Seven and Levi or even Seven and Star being together.  Oh boy!  Talk about your first F/F encounter.  Pick them all up today and fall in love with the raw, emotional characters of the Hers Series.

Dawn Robertson is a twenty-something indie erotic romance, and mother. She lives in sunny senior citizen packed Florida, where she wrangles her kids, and Pitbull puppy.

Dawn can normally be found swearing like a sailor, making late night drive-thru appearances, arguing with her kids (or being run over by their power wheels), reading a steamy romance while hiding in her bathroom, writing her little heart out on her laptop (or dragging her Macbook to the Genius bar praying they can save her latest work in progress), or sipping on a smoothie. She loves to hear from her fans, readers, and authors alike. Feel free to drop her a message.
Dawn rarely takes life seriously, so be sure to expect heavy sarcasm from her. She is also the life of the party, so be sure to meet up with her at one of the many author events she will be attending in the next couple months. Buy her a shot of whiskey, and she will love you for life.
