Sometimes doing the wrong thing feels so right...

I'm a player. I'm an asshole. I'm someone you should stay away from.
I have demons.
I've made mistakes.
And the biggest can't be taken back.

I've gone to hell and back in twenty-nine years and I'm only now coming to terms with moving forward, righting my wrongs, and making amends. Except not everyone deserves forgiveness. Sometimes the damage done is beyond repair.

Everyday is exactly the same. I focus on the pain, in the quest to feel and forget, but I remember everything. When I close my eyes the darkness encroaches and some days it feels like the things that kill me are the things that make me feel alive.

WOW! Poor Ridge!! He’s so…..damaged. The things he’s fighting in this book just eats away at him. And it’s not just a couple things….it’s things that happen on top of each other and he blames himself for every single thing wrong in the world.

As you know if you read Wild (Wild #1), Mia was engaged to Lane Wild, Ridge’s brother. Turns out she was with the wrong brother entirely, but cheating on Lane with his little brother just somehow makes it even worse.

Ridge decides that he wants, needs, his brother in his life. With no parents and no other family and the guilt over Mia eating at him he tells Mia to leave. To get out. As far as current mistakes - let’s count this as giant mistake #1. This happens pretty much at the beginning and it’s all downhill from there. Drinking, smoking, sex and just being a huge asshole is all he can do. He misses her. He wants her. He can’t stop thinking about her. Mia. Mia. Mia.

Ridge has a haunted past that includes drugs, juvie and something even worse. But he pulls himself together, goes into business with an amazing chef and they open some really great restaurants. Things are going well till he visits home and sees his brother again and the guilt that he can’t overcome become more than he can bare.

Mia has issues she’s dealing with herself. She doesn’t handle stress very well and with things going on with Ridge and with her mom, she’s close to losing it. Can she rely on Ridge to be there for her? And stay sober enough to be her rock?

I love these books. They can be standalone but you would miss a little bit of background story. However, it wouldn’t be story that you would really miss. Adriane Leigh does a wonderful job giving necessary back story. BUT, I encourage you to read Wild, it’s a fantastic book! (Click pic to read my review of Wild)

This book is HOT! I mean really HOT HOT HOT. The raw chemistry that Ridge & Mia have is off the charts. At times it’s like they can’t be together because of how raw they are. But they can’t be apart either. This is such a raw and amazing story. A must read!

I can’t wait for Slade (Wild #3). Some of this back story has been in both books and I just can’t wait! This is definitely a series I highly recommend!!

Adriane Leigh was born and raised in a snowbank in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and now lives among the sand dunes of the Lake Michigan lakeshore.

She graduated with a Literature degree but never particularly enjoyed reading Shakespeare or Chaucer.

She is married to a tall, dark, and handsome guy, and plays mama to two sweet baby girls. She is a voracious reader and wishes she had more time to knit scarves to keep her warm during the arctic Michigan winters.
