Born with the ability to command the wind, Nicole Bonham dispenses her own brand of vigilante justice in Chicago’s worst neighborhoods. Stealth and surprise are always on her side.

Lash demon Gunnar prowls Earth and several supernatural realms to help maintain peace among the immortal species. His chance encounter with Nicole creates a hurricane of sparks between them, and he won’t rest until she is his.

They race to solve a series of supernatural attacks in the city. Nicole’s true identity brings the attention of the crazed demon behind them, even as her passion for Gunnar binds them together, body and soul.

Nicole has become the one thing Gunnar can’t live without. Yet facing their worst enemy may destroy her. Gunnar must put aside past tragedy and trust that through her ability and their bond, she has brought myth to life.

First let me start with an apology to Sharon herself for my tardiness in writing this review.  I started BOBB back in July and Sharon was the first Author who approached me and took a chance on a blog with a very small follower base.  She said she had seen my reviews in the past and wanted me to read Wicked Wind and give her an honest review, so I sat down and I started reading.  I got about 66% into the book (couldn't put it down mind you) and then the blog started to grow and I wanted to do all of these things here and grow our follower base and the book slipped my mind.  Now, you may be scratching your head and saying, "Well if it was so good and you couldn't put it down, then why did it take you so long to get back to it and finish it?!"  Well, touche!  I kept wondering that myself but blog tour read after blog tour read and time just gets away from you.  So there, now that's out of the way let's get to the good stuff shall we?!

Sharon, you wrote an absolutely phenomenal story. I don't review a lot of Paranormal Romances anymore and this story was a breath of fresh air in the world of HEA's that I live in and erotic romances.  So take a story about demons who live amongst us, mix in a human woman and her sisters who know there is definitely something out of the ordinary about themselves and mix in some really intense and hot sex and you've got yourself a winner in this girls opinion.

Nicole is a Solsti, but she doesn't know it.  She's one of four prophecized for thousands of years and most believe the Solsti are a myth.  But a time is coming and a battle is brewing and the Solsti are going to be imperative in not only the war but in saving the human race.
Now let's talk about Gunnar!  Oh my ... Gunnar how I love you.  Gunnar is a smokin' hot demon who comes upon Nicole and her sister one night while they are out "crime fighting" essentially in a dark ally.  They have powers, Nicole's happens to be that she can make things happen with the air around her, hence the title of the book!  Her sister can make things happen with just a single drop of water.  Their last sister can make things happen with fire, but she doesn't live near them anymore and refuses to use her talent believing these abilities to be a curse on them rather than a gift.

Gunnar is drawn to Nicole and has to figure out what she is, when he finally convinces her that she's not safe in the human world unguarded, she accompanies him to his home where all is revealed about what she truly is and why she and her sisters have these gifts.  As the story progresses naturally there is a love story built in and a war is raging.  Nicole and her sisters must decide if they buy into this prophecy and if they do, will they have what it takes to train hard enough to be able to hone their abilities and make a difference in time to stop the evil that is brewing.

If you're a fan of The Black Dagger Brotherhood or The Midnight Breed Series (although those have to do with Vampires) you'll appreciate and enjoy The Solsti Prophecy series by Sharon Kay.  Gunnar's brothers in arms are all extremely attractive and have their own innate talents.  Gunnar is fiercely protective of his female and will stop at nothing to convince her that she is his once he realizes he can't live without her.

Bravo Sharon.  Again I am so sorry for the late review but again I'm very much looking forward to Wicked Waves which will star Kai and Nicole's sister, Brooke.  Can't wait for their story, those two are like cats and dogs when they're around one another, its going to be so much fun to see who breaks first!

Wicked Waves releases January 21st, hurry up and grab your copt of Wicked Wind today to prepare for The Solsti Prophecy #2.

Sharon Kay was bitten early by the writing bug. At age twelve she wrote a short story, about a magic ring, that won a statewide contest. With her nose always in a book, she read the most novels for her age group in her local library's summer reading program.

In her teens, writing took a back seat to fashion, as she was determined to find clothes different from what everyone else bought at the mall. And what she couldn't find, she created. She learned to sew, worked in a fabric store after school, and spent her spare time with a needle in hand. Her black and orange prom dress is still one of her favorite creations.

She majored in apparel design in college, spending her summers working in costume shops and bridal boutiques. She worked for ten years in the Chicago garment industry, then switched her focus to apparel production logistics before becoming a stay at home mom.

Sharon lives in the Chicago area with her husband and son, and didn't expect to write again. But Wicked Wind and the Solsti series formed in her head one weekend and refused to stay quiet until she put pen to paper. Her characters tend to keep her up at night, as they banter, fall in love, and slay endless varieties of power-hungry demons. She loves to hear from readers!
