Leila Marino’s biggest dream is to become a rock star. A lucky opportunity has her auditioning with an up & coming rock band named Devil’s Lair. The band hires Leila as their back-up singer, signing her up for months in the studio and touring on the road with the sexy bunch.

Jack is the quintessential rock star…gorgeous…sexy…a walking orgasm. Jack Lair is the lead singer of Devil’s Lair and his dreams are becoming reality as his band climbs the ladder of success. He’s living the perfect life, and enjoying every minute of it. With a steady stream of sexual conquests that satisfies his raging libido, he thinks he has all he needs in life…until Leila enters it.

Jack is not prepared for the sudden pull he feels towards Leila, and struggles daily to deny his attraction is anything more. Leila finds falling for her new boss is constant torment. Both convince themselves friendship is their only option.

An intimate moment causes their willpower to collapse, and their erotic love affair to begin. Finding love was a bonus that neither Jack nor Leila anticipated. As they begin their tour together professionally and personally, life couldn’t be any better for the couple. Until a mistake from Jack’s past threatens their new relationship, and their perfect future together.

Leila is an amazing back-up singer. She really could have her own rock band, she’s that good, but she’s happy having a job doing what she’s dreamed of since she was a little girl. She has a band full of her friends that play in a bar that’s full of her friends and has great fans that come out to see them every weekend. She’s happy.

However, it’s soon gonna change. She gets an opportunity to audition for Devils Lair. She has been a huge fan of this band forever and can’t pass this chance up. However, there’s this one little problem……

Jack Lair is lead singer for Devils Lair. He’s gorgeous, very smart and a very talented lead singer. His problem? He doesn’t believe in relationships. He only ever has one-night stands. He has a pattern: Sing, Drink & take a girl home. Most of the time he doesn’t even know their names much less remember them. Until Leila shows up for her audition…..all sorts of feelings get involved.

For Leila she only has her dad, her BFF Evan, her band, and a couple of best girlfriends. Leaving her band would be heartbreaking. But not leaving would be career suicide.  What will she do? Will she leave everything she knows and is comfortable with for a shot at a career and a huge tour? What role will Jack play in her future? Can and will she leave everything behind?

The relationships Leila has with everyone is amazing. She is a really amazing person on her own and Jack, despite his determination to resist, can’t stop thinking about her. What will happen when he finds out she can’t stop fantasizing about him?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It’s fun and upbeat despite the faults of the lead characters. I love how it’s written in both points of view. It makes the story so much more interesting. It’s not predictable and I wouldn’t consider it fast paced but because of how it’s written in both points of view the story flows nicely. I read it very quickly and can’t wait for the 2nd in the series to come out soon, Front & Center

A.M. Madden is a wife, a mother, an avid reader of romance novels and now an author. In Back-up she aspired to create a fun, sexy, realistic romantic story. She wanted to create characters that the reader could relate to and feel as if they knew personally.

A self proclaimed hopeless romantic, she loves getting lost in a good book. She also uses every free moment of her time writing, while working a full time job and raising teenage boys.
