Fate brought her here, but will her choices destroy her dreams?

Quincy Priest made all the right choices in her small town, black-and-white life. But being perfect is tiring. So. Very. Tiring.

Wanting desperately to step out of her sister's shadow, Quincy jumps at the opportunity to attend college with her best friend. The quiet bookworm with family secrets comes out of her shell. But when Quincy meets not one, but two perfect guys, she has to make a choice. In doing so, she might forfeit the relationship she secretly longed to find.

Declan. Sweet, handsome, and perfect. He makes her feel cherished for the first time in her life.

Brody. Sexy, hot, and irresistible. He could tear down her carefully built walls.

Before she can become the woman she wants to be, Quincy will make mistakes. And suffer one unimaginable loss.

This is a story that really relates with the whole growing up theory.  When Quincey and her best friend Jenna move to Knoxville from their home town of Collier, Tennessee to attend college she see it as an opportunity to basically re-establish herself.  She is able to get our from under the label of her older sister.

When the Quincey and Jenna get invited to a frat party she is introduced to both Declan and Brody, of which she finds each attractive in their own ways.  This story takes us through the battles of Quincey trying to figure out her own identity and who she basically wants to be and to get away from being the "perfect person" so to speak.  She for the first time in her life is allowed to have her own feelings and emotions and worry about her, and not what or how the rest of her family is doing.  After the party she finds herself drawn to both Declan and Brody each for different reasons.

Mrs. Lane puts a spin in the story that we are caught off guard by that will ultimately challenge the ways that Quincey as been going.  She had to face reality in a completely different manner.  As she makes the changes and takes the steps to heal herself, she is able to decide on what is best for her.  During this self journey that she basically goes on she also discovers the person that her heart has chosen for her to love.

This was a really good story.  It makes you feel so many different emotions.  Sometimes life isn't what it seems or appears, and we all have issues that we must overcome as well as dealing with pains from our past.  How we let these things mold us as people is the Choices that we make.  When fate steps in all you can do is hang on and follow her lead and see what she has laid out for us.
