There's nothing in the world Army Sergeant Vic Carponti loves more than his wife and his country. Smart-mouthed and easy tempered, he takes everything as a joke . . . except his promise to come home to his wife, Nicole, for Christmas. As he prepares to leave for his latest deployment into Iraq, Vic will do everything he can to shield his beautiful, supportive wife from the realities of war . . . and from his own darkest fears.

As a career army wife, Nicole Carponti knows just what to expect from her husband's tour of duty: loneliness, relentless worry, and a seemingly endless countdown until the moment Vic walks through the door again. But when the unthinkable happens, Nicole and Vic's bond is tested like never before and changes everything they believe to be true about the power of love and the simple beauty of being home for the holidays.

I started reading Jessica Scott's work when Because of You was released.  Back then she wasn't yet a USA TODAY Bestselling Author.  I will tell you the title is completely well deserved!  But enough about that, let's talk about I'll Be Home for Christmas.  This is a Novella story revolving around Vic Carponti and his wife Nicole.  Vic and his platoon are about to head back out to Iraq for yet another tour in the desert.  The enemy is ruthless and they've seen more than their fair share of deaths from good men that have gone overseas to fight this never ending battle and have come to home to the broken families they have left behind.

I'll Be Home for Christmas actually takes place in tandem with Because of You.  You lean Vic's story.  You learn why he is the joker that he is and why the woman that married him sticks around and continues to endure the deployments.  There will be two more stories coming up in the Coming Home series from Jessica Scott, Back to You (#3) which will focus on Captain Trent Davila and his wife Laura and All for You (#4) which will focus on Sergeant First Class Reza Iaconelli.  Her stories are steamy but intermingled with the steam are these amazing stories that have rocked me to my core as a Military Spouse.  Her characters and her stories have made me want to be more active with our children, the Family Readiness Group (FRG's) on each post and one day I hope to work with the Wounded Warrior Program to help our returning vets get back on their feet, find jobs and become active members of society again.

I've loved ever character she's created and I hope that you'll fall in love with her work as much as I have. To try and get each of you to love her work as much as I do, I am doing a giveaway for all four currently published stories and I hope you'll pick up Back to You and All for You when they are released in January and February 2014.

USA Today Bestselling author Jessica Scott is a career army officer, mother of two daughters, three cats and three dogs, wife to a career NCO and wrangler of all things stuffed and fluffy. She is a terrible cook and even worse housekeeper, but she's a pretty good shot with her assigned weapon and someone liked some of the stuff she wrote. Somehow, her children are pretty well adjusted and her husband still loves her, despite burned water and a messy house.

She's written for the New York Times At War Blog, PBS Point of View Regarding War, and IAVA. She deployed to Iraq in 2009 as part of OIF/New Dawn and has served as a company commander at Fort Hood, Texas.

She's pursuing a PhD in Sociology in her spare time and most recently, she's been featured as one of Esquire Magazine's Americans of the Year for 2012.
