SYNOPSIS:

Caleb Allen was your typical boy next door. Growing up in a prestigious suburb of Los Angeles, he lived a life most only dreamed about. As one of the original Moretti men, he caught the eye of countless women with his clean cut good looks and chivalry. But behind closed doors, he commanded attention, becoming a dominant force that was anything but timid.

After a misunderstanding that jeopardized the wellbeing of the group and a near fatal accident that nearly cost him his best friend, Mark Moretti, Caleb was determined to become the loyal and devoted man he had been in the past. The minute Dr.

Jena Turner stepped from the ICU with news of Mark’s condition, Caleb’s world spun off its axis. Several chance encounters only deepened his desire to make her his. He longed to prove that the life he preferred was one of pleasure and passion.

But, Jena Turner has a secret that haunts her. Hiding from her past, a simple moment in the heat of passion sends her running in fear. An unlikely confidant can either push her back into Caleb’s arms or give him a taste of his own medicine. Can Jena step into a lifestyle that reminded her of the darkest day of her past?

Broken and defeated, Caleb questions everything he knows about love. Can he prove to Jena that love is worth the risk or will he watch her walk out of his life forever?

Taming the Boy Next Door is the third novel in the Moretti Novels by MJ Carnal.

REVIEW:

Taming the Boy Next Door is about Caleb Allen and Dr. Jenna Turner.  Ever since Dr. Turner saved the life of one of Caleb's best friends, Caleb can't seem to shake the good doctor from his thoughts.  After a night at Caleb's for a celebration, Jenna finds that she can't stop thinking about him either.  Caleb brings out in Jenna a wild side she never dreamt possible, especially considering the skeletons that are in her closet.  Caleb spurns on Jenna's wild side all the while trying to reign in his even wilder side until she's ready for his fully Dominant side.

I wish I could say that I absolutely loved this story.  It had a lot of sex but I never felt the heat.  It had a love story but I never felt that flutter I get from other stories.  That's not to say that I didn't enjoy it, I just didn't enjoy it as much as some of the other stories I've read.  Now I will say I have not read the first two books in the series.  I enjoyed the characters and how they interact with one another.  But the book was short and the story to me fell flat.  I am definitely interested in going back and reading the first two Moretti Boys novels to see what I was missing on the other characters.  Taming the Boy Next door definitely had my interested, I finished it in one night, I just wasn't left with that feeling that makes me want to go back and re-read their story.  I will say I definitely love the interactions of Andi (Caleb's sister) and Kevin.  They provide comic relief and will definitely make you laugh out loud more than a few times.

All in all, Taming the Boy Next Door was a good story and one I believe should definitely be read!
