SYNOPSIS:

Cody Garrett, a former Navy SEAL, has never met a skirt he didn’t fancy. His six-pack, rugged looks and bad boy image ensures a steady stream of hot babes waiting to slip him their phone numbers wherever he goes.
So, he is confused when Bridie Barker refuses to go on a date with him.
It’s not like she’s a stunning beauty or something. According to him, her ears are big, she’s well-rounded and she’s not even a D-cup.
In spite of her shortcomings, the more she pushes him away, the more he finds himself thinking of her.

Twenty-year-old Bridie Barker has control issues. Every detail in her life is planned.
Her closet is color-coded and she has an array of storage containers, to ensure that everything is in its correct place.
Her whole world is black and white, and grey areas are a no-no.

When she meets the warm and grounded Scott Garrett, she thinks she has found her soul mate. Unfortunately, and to her disappointment, things don’t pan out with Scott.
While waiting tables, she has a disastrous run-in with his brother, Wild Boy Cody Garrett, King of Body Shots, who parties every night with a different girl.
Even though he’s good to look at and makes her laugh, she turns down his advances as he’s clearly the tag-and-release kind of guy.
Besides, she is pretty sure he owns not a single storage container, and she’s certain that his closet is not color-coded.
Problem is, Cody Garrett finds her rejection an aphrodisiac and pursues her.

REVIEW - BOOK 1: "All Out of Love" - 4 BARS:

Brother Cody Garrett is former Navy SEAL and now part of an elite team only heading out on occasional missions. He’s the bad boy. Women. Body Shots. Partying. That is until Bridie Barker was accosted by his partying friends, getting her and her brother fired. He chases after her to apologize and promises to get the jobs back for her.

Bridie has 4 brothers and sisters. Well, they aren’t really, the same woman adopted them all and now live together in a wonderful family unit. Bridie adores her siblings. Washington is her playa brother. He likes women that buy him things, as he can’t afford them any other way. Buster is……well there is no other way to say it but he’s just not quite right. He’s extremely loyal to his family and friends and really a big teddy bear. That is until you piss him off. Then you better back away because he is a big dangerous guy. Khatija is her sister and a major ball-buster. She’s the “mom” Bridie has never had and even though she keeps to a plan and expects you to have one to she is dedicated to her family. Lola is her sister – the sister that acts like a sister & best friend. She keeps her secrets and is fun, not like “mom” Khatija.

Cody does get their jobs back and she reports to work for her next shift. She’s filling coffee for a customer and spills it all over his crisp military uniform. After what happened before Bridie really doesn’t need this to happen! The customer, Scott Garrett, brushes it off jokingly and asks for her number. Yes! Scott would be Cody’s brother!!!

Scott goes on assignment before he & Bridie have anything more than a 2-hour cup of coffee. However, Cody can’t get her out of his mind. He actively pursues her, which means gaining the hard won okay from her family. Bridie soon finds that they come from very different worlds. The Garret’s are rich socialites. Once Cody’s mom, Stephanie, finds out where Bridie is from she shuns her and creates unimaginably mean, huge, life-altering problems.

Bridie has to work hard at her relationship with Cody and even harder to become accepted into his family. Can she do it? Will Cody work just as hard? When a big surprise comes will Cody be there for her or will she turn to Scott? Just how far will Scott go to help her when her world falls apart?

Lots of things happen in this book but it moves quickly which I really like in a book. There are absolutely wonderful characters that are funny & harsh, big & goofy, old & nosy but the one you will love hating is Stephanie. I’m sure you will love hating her as much as I did. I highly recommend this book! It’s a wonderful read. You will laugh, cry, yell at your book and wonder back and forth, as to which brother she belongs with. Sooooooo good!!!!

REVIEW - BOOK 2: "How Can I Not Love You" - 4 BARS:

We leave the first book with Bridie’s decision hanging in the air about what she will do. Will she tell everyone that the baby she’s carrying is really Cody’s? Will she allow Scott to take care of her and help her raise her baby? Well, the answers are so frustrating. It really is the worst sort of making a decision based on bad information. There are so many secrets and flat out lies that no decision can possibly be completely right. As the reader I found myself seeing things from the outside and totally yelling at my iPad! Not so different really, I seem to do that a lot – HaHa.

Book two opens five years after Bridie & Scott got married. Not only do they have a son, but they have another baby girl. Bridie is happy with a husband she has grown to love and two amazing kids. That is until…

Scott was sent on assignment and has been captured by the enemy. The events that Scott is forced to watch and actually become part of is not painful exactly but mentally……just torture. He makes it home with the worst form of PTSD I’ve ever read about. His personality goes from one extreme to another. The only person Bridie can get to help her is Cody. She hasn’t seen or spoken to him in five years but he runs to her and helps her. He keeps her safe all while they both fight the feelings that have always been there.

They have him committed to try and help him with his PTSD. For a good part of the book it’s all about Cody & Bridie. Them together is so amazing and my favorite part of the book.

Then…..Scott gets better and can come home. He wants to come home to Bridie and the kids and after 6 months of playing house with Cody and falling even more in love with him she has to make a decision. They have to make a decision. It is his brother that he does love very much. Events created by Stephanie have brought them to this point. She loves them both – just differently. What will Bridie do? Stay with Cody and make Scott relapse? Go with Scott and try to have a life without Cody? No answer will make everyone happy. The end of this book is-well-amazing just isn’t a big enough word! I cried and at the last page I was smiling and crying at the same time! I am truly loving these books. I really hope there is going to be a book 3!
