Even the strongest of buildings start out as plans on paper, and every architect knows that sometimes plans need to change. Sometimes, these lessons are learned on the job.

A successful New York architect, Thomas Elkin almost has it all. Coming out as gay and ending his marriage before his fortieth birthday, he needed to start living his life. Now, four years later, with his relationship with his son back on track, and after a few short-lived romances, this esteemed traditional draftsman thought he knew everything about architecture, about life.

Cooper Jones, twenty-two years old, is about to take the architect world by storm. Talented, professional, driven, and completely infuriating, Cooper is the definition of Generation Y.

Starting an internship working with Thomas, Cooper is about to knock Tom’s world off its axis. Tom can teach Cooper about the industry, but Cooper is about to teach Tom a few things about life.

The only thing I didn't like about this story was that it was too short!  Give. Me. More! That's what I kept chanting in my head as I read the story of Thomas Elkin and Cooper Jones.  But what an amazing little story it was.  It was sweet, to the point and it didn't drag it's feet through the mud.

Thomas Elkin is a forty four year old, highly sought after, NYC Architect who has been divorced for four years because he discovered all too late in life that he is Gay.  His son, who has struggled to come to terms with this brings his best friend from high school to his father's apartment one night for dinner and little does Tom know, but his world is about to be rocked, by a twenty-two year old budding Architect.

Cooper has skills to offer the Architectural world and more importantly the firm that Tom works for when he gets picked to do an Internship there.  But Cooper has been "out" since before he left for college, because he believed life was too short to hide from his parents and his loved ones for another four years.  Now, he has a lot to teach Tom about the 21st Century, Generation Y and hiding from the world.

Other than the fact that Tom drives the point home internally that Cooper is twenty-two far more often than I would have liked for an 80+ page story, this story was yummy.  I love that the character casting for Thomas Elkin is Anderson Cooper because that's almost exactly how I pictured the man in my head.  And, well, the casting for Cooper is just freaking delicious!  Oh and the chemistry between these two men is toe curling, romantic and HOT!  I wanted way more of their intimate moments but I'll have to hold out hope that as the Thomas Elkin Series continues, we see more of Tom and Cooper as their relationship continues to grow.  Well done N.R. Walker!  I have added several of your other books to my TBR list now and can't wait for the next in this series!

Who am I?

Good question...

I am many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer.

I have pretty, pretty boys who live in my head, who don't let me sleep at night unless I give them life with words.

I like it when they do dirty, dirty things...but I like it even more when they fall in love.

I used to think having people in my head talking to me was weird, until one day I happened across other writers who told me it was normal.

I've been writing ever since...
