“There is nothing worse than pretending that you don’t care about something, when that is all you can think about.”

Harper Graham wears a mask, and not the pamper kind. She conceals her pain with shoes, shots, and lots of sex. But while her life appears fantastic to most, Harper herself knows that the most important thing in life is not financial stability, but emotional. Having been let down by her absent father for most of her life, Harper chooses to keep the men in her life at arms length. Well, that was until Kyler Morgan.

Kyler Morgan has been successful at nearly everything in his life … nearly. Traveling the country with the band Down Glory Road, Kyler has had time to reflect upon his life and in particular his relationship with feisty, drop-dead gorgeous realtor, Harper. Realizing that she is the woman of his dreams, Kyler resolves to win back Harper, and prove to her that she is, and always has been, enough.

But the path to true love rarely runs smoothly, and when their journey takes a number of twists and turns, will Harper and Kyler manage to hold tight, or fall by the wayside?

This was a book that once I picked it up and started reading it, I was unable to put it down. I found myself lost in it. The story starts off from when Harper Graham is a little girl listening to her parents having another argument. As you read a little bit further you find out that this is a nightmare, which is one of many that Harper finds herself having to deal with. This is the entry into what makes Harper the way that she is and why she has the issues that she has with being involved in relationships.

As you continue on with your journey into the book you are introduced into Kyler Lewis, who is totally in love with Harper and willing to do what ever it will take to win her heart. He is supported by his best friend Finn Morgan who just so happens to be married and expecting his first child with Harper’s best friend Emilyn Morgan. Kyler is a member of the band Down Glory Road and is out on tour. This allows Harper the opportunity to “break off the budding relationship” with Ky. Harper uses the excuses that she knew that it just wouldn’t work with him being on the road and tempted by all the women that would be throwing themselves at him. Kyler argues with her and tries to convince Harper that it can work and that they can Skype, text, call and email each other constantly, but Harper swears that it just won’t work.

Harper avoids talking with Kyler for several months until they are put back in the same place when Em goes into labor. The heavy attraction between Harper and Kyler flairs once again as if they had not been apart. Harper is still trying to sort through her feelings all the while still having nightmares of her father never being around for her as a child. Her trust issues because of that are what has her wanting to stay away from Kyler, but he refuses to let her be. Kyler convinces Harper to fly back to New York with him for one week. He is determined to help her work through the insecurities that she has, even though he is unaware of the extent of them. From this point they both start to see and feel the love that they share for one another, but fait still has one more kink in the road for this budding couple.

As Harper has found out that her love for Kyler causes jealousy, Kyler is introduced to these feelings as well. When Harper arrives home from New York, she is offered a ride home from Michael Brandt, a friend with benefits that she was previously involved with. While she is in the car heading home, Kyler calls to check on her and she tells him that Michael offered to give her a ride home which causes him to get upset and her to confirm her feeling for him over the phone in front of Michael. After a few weeks Ky comes home and surprises Harper with finishing the tour early. The day of his arrival he finds out that his farther who is terminally ill has worsened and passes away after him returning home just a few days later. As Kyler comes back to Harper’s house to deal with the loss of his father he walks in just as Michael is kissing Harper ( with no reciprocation from her). He gets upset and bolts.
Harper goes after him several hours later. She finds him in a bar excessively drunk. Kyler is hurting over the loss of his father and what he thought he saw between her and Michael and tells her that he never wants to see or have anything to do with her again. Harper turns and runs not wanting to let him see her hurt. Harper then decides to disappear for a couple of weeks to deal with what has happened not letting anyone know where she is. After being gone for several days and Kyler learning of his mistake he goes in search of her not being able to locate her. Emilyn calls and eventually convinces him to go to Harpers house to see if he can find anything to lead them to where she may be, which he does.

Once he finds the cabin in Iowa that Harper was left by her grandmother he heads straight there. Harper all the while has realized that no matter what she still loves Kyler and wants to be with him. As soon as Kyler gets to Harper he then tells her he is sorry, he screwed up and should have let her explain, that he had no memory of saying anything about hating her,, and that he loves her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her.

Some of my favorite quotes from this book are:
"Christ Kyler, do you want me to say it... because I sorta love you, you asshat, I don’t want anybody else.
You can always trust me Harper, I’d never intentionally do anything to break that.
I’m nothing without you. I’m barely even a man without you in my life."

"You’ll always be enough for me Harper. I know baby, and you will always be enough for me, too."

I hope you enjoy their story as much as I have. Stacy Borel has done an amazing job show how we each have to learn to let go and trust even though we may have been hurt at some point in our lives.

I'm a Coast Guard wife and currently a stay at home mom. I've always said 'I want to be a nurse when I "grow up' but those plans are currently on hold while I live out another dream. My incredibly handsome husband and I have been married for 10 years and I have 2 amazing children that keep life interesting. I am an obsessive reader. I go through 3-5 books a week on my Kindle and I whole-heartedly support my indie authors. After reading well over a couple hundred books last year, I decided I might give it a shot and write my own book. I dabbled with a few ideas and finally settled on one that I knew I could write, and write well. It was a very personal story to me. Ever Enough was released in early May and it only took a few weeks to hit the Amazon top 100, which I never anticipated, but I have been humbled by the success of the book. My second novel Always Enough will be released in mid September and it is a continuation of the first book. This one is about the two best friends, Harper and Kyler. In the meantime, I am writing my third novel which I'm very excited about. It is something completely different from the first two. I have a gorgeous cover model, and I'm crossing my fingers to have some other things in store for this book. This one is my pride and joy and I am expecting to release it the first week in December, so be on the look out.
