With a single decision, Olivia Germaine’s fantasy has become a reality. Now she is faced with two commitments: one she must make and one she must break. But in order to accept a love she never thought possible, Olivia will have to let go of the broken past that defines her - and of deeply-rooted fears that could ruin everything.

Everything is what David Dylan wants to give her, and it’s what he wants in return. He must prove to Olivia that despite his playboy ways, he’s worth leaving behind the stable future her husband can offer her. David is a man who always gets what he wants . . . but this time he may be fighting for something unattainable.

Can Olivia escape the past that threatens to consume her?

And can David break through to her before it does?

Freaking incredible and emotional journey from start to finish.  I have to admit that if you read my first two reviews you'd think that I didn't love them even though they were rated as 4 stars collectively but upon looking back and finishing out this delicious trilogy, I am in love with Jessica Hawkins.

Come Together was a very steamy, extremely enjoyable and emotional ending to The Cityscape Series. At the conclusion of Come Alive, Olivia took a leap of faith and decided to follow her heart for once and told the absolutely delicious David Dylan that she would leave her husband for him. But in Come Together we have doubts very heavily on Olivia's side.  Jessica Hawkins did an incredible job throughout this series at making you feel what you would feel if you were in the characters shoes.  Not many of us would be able to tell our husbands/wives that we want a divorce and not have a mixed conscience about it.  Not many of us would have an affair and not bat an eyelash and just return to everyday life as usual.  You feel dirty cause the characters feel dirty, you feel wrong, you sometimes feel cheap but you feel UNDONE, ALIVE and in the end it all just comes TOGETHER.

Life is messy for these two in this third and final installment.  You have David's fiercely protective Alpha male side and Olivia's naivety and fragile as a bird mentality.  She wants what she wants and is completely okay with it until she starts second guessing everything she thought was so concrete five seconds ago.  I've personally been there and so the subject matter was very personal for me but, the shoe was on the opposite foot ... I was cheated on in my first marriage. I know how awful it feels to be Bill in this story, to learn that you've been betrayed by the one person you thought would never hurt you.  I wanted to feel bad for Bill I did and you do to a point but on the other foot ... he never tried to get to know the woman he supposedly has been in love with and married to for three years. We get complacent in life and in love and sometimes we settle, it's the natural order of things.  You think life just doesn't get any better than this ... until you meet the beautiful, dark and mysterious enigmatic stranger.  This is the story of what happens when that marvelous and sexy event occurs.  We all dream about it from time to time, hell we read the crap out of it.  What would you do if it happened to you?  Well I won't be answering that and I suspect most of us won't but suffice it to say this was just a marvelously written series by an equally marvelous new Author and I am desperate for what she will come up with next.

I invite you to read the review I wrote for right before my departure and please enjoy the sexy excerpt below!

  1. Battery Operated Book Blog:

Thanks so much for having me by the blog today. The Come Together Blog Tour is honored to have you as a stop!

Your review is honest and informative yet it leaves room for intrigue. I know I've told you already, but I am impressed! I'm glad that this story spoke to you. Having been in this situation, I can understand how it might be hard to read, so I thank you for taking a chance and keeping an open mind. Nobody's love story is perfect, but that's what makes it real. David & Olivia definitely fall into that category.

I've loved all your reviews so far, but this one exceeds my hopes! I'll be poking around your battery operated blog for a bit if anyone has any comments or questions.
