What started out as revenge has turned into passion. Serena Singleton, the innocent music grad student, must now deal with a past that is consuming her future. She deals with it in the only way she knows how by falling heads first into the web of power and deception. Has she cast Sebastian Sorensen, her handsome and brilliant professor aside for the powerful and controlling billionaire Price Turnsby or has she found a way to keep them both?

Sebastian Sorensen wants Serena more than ever, and he's willing to fight for it, even against a powerful foe like Price. But no matter how much he fights, is Serena lost to Price's charms and sexy ways more than she appears?

Follow book two of the sexy Protege Series where nothing is as it seems.

For 18+ for strong sexual situations and mature subject matters.

WOW! When I finished The Protégé I was just sitting there shaking my head thinking, "I did not see that coming!" I am so glad that I already had The Innocent sitting on my night stand ready to go because if I had to wait I would have been clawing at the walls.  The Protégé leaves you with a strong sense that Serena Singleton is in a very abusive relationship with her Master, Price Turnsby.  I still want to rip this mans nuts off his body and feed them to him, that's how upset he makes me.  Engaging in rough sex and being an exhibitionist voyeur and having a Dom/sub relationship is one thing but being in a highly abusive relationship that smarts of domestic violence is another.  Serena Singleton is once again a very strong character but when it comes to Price he is her achilles heel. She whole heartedly believes that she'd have died years ago on the streets if it weren't for Price coming along and showing her the ways of the world and more importantly, teaching her how to use her body as a tool to bring men to their knees.

The Innocent does a very good job of heating you up and chilling you as soon as Price comes on the page again. One minute Serena looks like she is going to nut up and leave Price once and for all and be with Sebastian Sorensen; the next she is doing very naughty things with Price that make your nether regions stand up and take notice but you really want to be ashamed of your bodies reaction to this tyrant.  She doesn't come out and say she loves Sebastian (though he certainly tells her every chance he gets), she obviously feels a fierce need to protect him from Price and can't keep herself away from his love and adoration.  Finding ways to sneak away and be with Sebastian shows her that there is a very heated side to Sebastian's sexual repartee.  But Sebastian gives Serena so much more than just the rough sex that she craves, he has the ability to submit to her desires and that makes him way more than just a Master like Price.

The ending to this one was empowering to say the least and I can't say much more than that without giving it all away.  I threw a fist into the air and shouted, "hell yes" when the Epilogue concluded.  Now I want The Master ... and I'm going to be climbing the walls until it is released!
